Munich based MatriX Technologies GmbH a leading global supplier of high-speed Automated In-line X-Ray inspection systems for industrial applications (AXI and NDT) announces the establishment of its new production and service subsidiary MatriX Inspection Systems Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
The majority of MatriX high-speed AXI system installations in Asia are currently located in China, Japan and South Korea at a renowned Asian customer base from the consumer electronics, EMS and automotive industry. Solely in China, MatriX successfully completed approx. 50 system installations at four large production sites during the last year. Since the beginning of 2012 and mainly driven by a significant increase in Asian demand for its high-speed Automated X-ray In-line (AXI) system solutions, the production of MatriX X2/X3 system series for further distribution to Asian end customers has been carried out in close cooperation with a Singapore based assembling partner.
Following the implementation of its new Singapore AXI production footprint, the new MatriX subsidiary will provide value-added production, logistics and technical support services during the entire manufacturing process of its X2/X3 system models by further ensuring group-wide quality standards. The X-Ray inspection systems (X2/X3 series) are used to control the manufacturing process and product quality of electronic printed circuit boards (SMT), fully assembled electronic devices (smart-phones), and other critical automotive electronic parts manufactured by its customers within series production. The presence in Singapore will further enable MatriX to increase its service level for its Asian customers through a dedicated regional service, maintenance, application and sales support structure.
Marc Sperschneider, responsible for MatriX foreign subsidiaries and shareholdings, says: We are happy to announce the opening of our Singapore subsidiary and new hardware assembling platform which in combination with our established R D, software and application know-how provided by our German headquarter will position MatriX for further growth in the Asian market place which we consider as the key growth market for industrial AXI inspection solutions over the next years. With the implementation of a new regional service support structure, we will further improve our local customer reach as well as response times on service and spare-parts requests from our Asian customers. He continues: In order to fulfil steadily increasing service requirements from our China customers active in the high-end consumer electronics and automotive industry, we are planning to announce the opening of our Chinese subsidiary during the first quarter 2013.
