VJ Electronix, Inc., the leader in rework technologies and global provider of advanced X-ray inspection systems, announces a recent increase in demand for its Summit LX large format PCB rework systems in its fiscal first quarter.

With a high capacity 24 x 36 (610 x 915 mm) board support table and large area 8.0 or 11 kW bottom heater, the Summit LX is designed specifically for large boards. The 80 mm alignment field-of-view facilitates alignment of the latest MCM and BGA, as well as CPU sockets. Recently updated with an automated non-contact scavenging option, the LX will prepare PTH barrels on connectors up to 80 mm in a single operation.

According to VJE Manufacturing Manager Bob Cushman, We are well-known for durability and raw power needed to rework large server and network system boards. Most often we see repeat orders of our Summit 1800 with the large, high-power table option. Recently, we have seen a significant spike in demand for the specialized Summit LX.

Along with the Summit LX, VJE is continuing to fill orders for the Summit 1800 systems with the large table (22 x 30/560 x 760 mm) options. VJE customer support has been upgrading existing systems with large table field upgrades. The increased demand comes from China, Southeast Asia, Mexico and the United States.
