Alpha, the world leader in the production of electronic soldering materials, and smartTec, its distributor partner for Germany, will host their first seminar at the Soldering Competency Centre in Rodgau, Germany on the 18th of November. The seminar will cover the basics of soldering and will include presentations by a number of industry experts.

The event will begin with an introduction to smartTec and the excellent new Soldering Competency Centre facility lead by smartTecs Uwe Geisler. Following on from the introduction the day will include presentations on basic soldering, solder alloys and their applications, the importance of flux, paste and paste printing parameters and how to achieve the right reflow profile. The seminar will also include practical soldering demonstrations using the facilitys state-of-the-art equipment.

The event is aimed at any customers with a desire to gain more knowledge on the soldering process and will be of particular interest for shop floor engineers, product developers and product managers.
