IPC announces an International Electronics Conference on RoHS Compliance and Beyond sponsored by IPC and Soldertec Global. It will take place April 25-27, 2006, in Malmo, Sweden. The conference will focus on EU member state enforcement and supply chain issues, including the issue of put on the market. Speakers will also discuss the newer regulations (EuP, REACH etc) expected to provide the next challenges to industry. Other conference topics will include low temperature solders; process experience; inspection changes; tin whiskers; reliability; and alternatives for other RoHS banned substances such as flame retardants and Cr(6) coatings. As a special feature, companies may showcase environmentally-friendly RoHS compliant products in an extended display area.
