Zestron日前宣布将参加SMTA于7月10日西部时间下午1点到2点半举行的题为单流程的共晶与无铅清洗――风险与建议在线展示。 Mr. Umut Tosun, M.S.Chem. Eng, accredited Cleaning Expert and Application Technology Manager with ZESTRON America will be presenting a recently completed study on Eutectic and Lead Free Cleaning in a Single Process: Its Associated Risks and Implications. As the entire electronic manufacturing industry braced for the July 1, 2006 deadline, it has been reevaluating the entire production process. An initial customer bath sample analysis was conducted to determine the levels of lead and other heavy metals commonly found in eutectic processes using MPC Technology -based cleaning agents. It was found that lead and tin were present in various amounts. Tin and lead is a commonly known redox-pair with sufficient redox potential to facilitate the reduction of lead on lead-free assemblies. The authors decided to study this phenomenon in more detail and include the ionic contamination pathway as well. As a result this study was able to address the two most probable pathways to the incorporation of lead into lead-free assemblies. Mr. Tosun presentation will be broadcasted live via telecon audio, and Web-based visual and chat for submitting questions.
