Mr. Tosun will present Determining Critical Cleaning Process Parameters for QFNs on Thursday, November 15th.

When partially removed or untouched residues remain underneath QFN or MLF packages, the risk of component failure is greatly increased. Through this presentation, Determining Critical Cleaning Process Parameters for QFNs, Umut Tosun, M.S.Chem.Eng., discusses the results of a technical study yielding the optimal cleaning solution for these low standoff components. Considering both water soluble lead-free and no-clean lead-free pastes and employing a dynamic surfactant cleaning agent in an inline cleaner, these critical cleaning process parameters were identified, analyzed and confirmed.

Umut Tosun is the Application Technology Manager at ZESTRON America and has been published in leading electronics manufacturing magazines such as Circuits Assembly and SMT Magazine. Mr. Tosun has authored and presented numerous technical papers and studies at the industrys largest trade shows. Mr. Tosun holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany.
