Blakell Europlacer Ltd., a designer and manufacturer of comprehensive SMT placement systems for the global electronics industry, announces that it will display the new TornadoTM head in booth 2M05 at the upcoming NEPCON South China 2006 trade show and exhibition, scheduled to take place August 29 through September 1, 2006, at the Shenzhen Convention  Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China.

The new TornadoTM head features 12 position turret nozzles, where the previous generationrsquo;s head had only 8 position turrets. The TornadoTM head is available on the Xpress range. The Xpress 15 equipped with a TornadoTM head becomes Xpress 15T and the Xpress 25 becomes Xpress 25T. The speed of the machines is increased by 10 percent at no additional cost.

Xpress 25T will be exhibited at NEPCON South China, and is equipped with the new TornadoTM heads and 12 nozzles, and combines high-speed and fine-pitch capabilities within a remarkably compact footprint.

Unlike conventional high-end placers, the twin headed Xpress 25T can place a wide array of devices ranging from 0201 to 50 x 50 mm QFP (70 x 70mm QFP and 100 mm connector optional) at a tact time of 0.128 sec (28,000 cph equivalent). Equipped with ldquo;smart nozzlesrdquo; and on the fly vision, Xpress 25T gives users a genuine single machine solution.
