日前,SMT China宣布,将参与主办通过SMTA和MII认证的ldquo;中国国家高需求IT人才培训项目――SMT技术培训计划rdquo;。SMTA China和ChinaECNet将在2007年上海NEPCON上共同组织该计划的第一次课程。 SMTA China announces that it will co-sponsor the upcoming ldquo;China State Education Project for High-Demand IT Talent ― SMT Technical Training Programrdquo; certified by SMTA and MII. SMTA China and ChinaECNet will jointly organize the first course with support by NEPCON China 2007. The program will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, 24-25 April 2007 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center 88 Caobao Road (Metro Line 1 ― Caobao Road Station), Shanghai, PR China.The SMTA/MII jointly recognized SMT Technical Course is recognized globally and nationally in China by the CSIP of the Ministry of Information Industry of Peoplersquo;
s Republic of China government. This is a China State Education Project for High-Demand IT Talent in surface mount technology technical training. The SMT Technical Training program is a two-day offering consisting of a one-day refresher lecture (face-to-face or Internet) and a half-day hands-on production line workshop on topics in SMT processes. SMT processes curriculum includes solder paste printing, component mounting, reflow soldering, wave soldering and line balancing (including downtime and line design).
The program concludes with both open and closed book examinations on the second half-day. The workshop, as well as the exam, assumes that the participant has at least one year of SMT experience and has an educational background equivalent to two years or more of college in a technical discipline. This is not an entry-level program. Basic algebra will be used in the workshop and examination. The examination is competitivein that it requires both written answers and calculations. The intent of this procedure is to enable the students to establish competitive credentials as qualified by the SMTA/MII in SMT assembly processes. The program provides an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge, experience, and competency;
helps raise the overall competency level of the industry; provides a means to assess the qualifications of personnel hired; and helps assure that the industry has well-trained and qualified personnel. The course fee for SMTA members is RMB7,000 (cost for non-members is RMB7,500). The price includes the refresher training course, course material and the examination. The deadline to register for the course is 18 April 2007.
