Cohoes, NY November 2011 PVA will be officially launching its new conformal coating inspection option at Productronica 2011. This new addition provides UV inspection capability to check for coated and uncoated areas of a printed circuit board and is available for all PVA selective coating platforms.
The new camera option combines selective coating and automated UV spot inspection within the same PVA machine. The camera can detect the presence and/or absence of coating, and can help ensure coating is not in keep outzones. Inspection within the coating machine saves valuable time and floor space by providing inspection immediately after the coating process without having to transfer into another machine or area for inspection.
For flexibility, locations to inspect to are fully programmable and a high power UV ring light is included for coating illumination. This option is for use with coatings that fluoresce under UV black light.
We are always trying to add features and options that help our customers manufacture the best product possible, said Frank Hart, Sales Marketing Manager. With this new option, they are assured that their coating area is accurate, without adding time with unnecessary extra steps.
At Productronica , you can spot the new inspection camera at work on the PVA350 Benchtop Coating / Dispensing System configured for coating applications.
