Electrolube, the global manufacturer at the forefront of chemicals technology for the electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing industries, will showcase its newest SC Silicone range and non-silicone thermal products to the Chinese market at NEPCON South China 2012, taking place between the 28th to the 30th August at the Shenzhen ConventionExhibition Centre.
The new SC range of silicone products features the SC3001, one of Electrolubes fastest selling and most successful silicone resin products ever, achieving record sales in Australia. SC3001, is an optically clear and flexible two-part encapsulation compound, developed specifically for the needs of the LED industry where optical clarity is essential. It features a number of benefits over its competitors, including low viscosity and excellent electrical properties and flexibility. It also exhibits excellent resistance to water and a wide variety of chemicals, therefore providing the highest protection in a range of environments. SC3001 helps to dissipate heat generated from LEDs and protects and insulates components from the threats of harsh and challenging environments including moisture and general contamination whilst providing outstanding performance.
The 2000q series of silicone resin products enables high continuous operating temperatures and provides an excellent barrier against a number of extreme conditions. Silicone resins in theldquo;2000series include SC2001, a general potting and encapsulating compound, SC2001FD a fast cure compound and SC2003, a thixotropic compound.
Also featuring at the show will be Electrolubersquo;s silicone conformal coating, DCA (SCC3), a flexible, transparent unique modified silicone coating specifically designed for the protection of electronic circuitry. Approved by the Underwriters Laboratories and DEF-STAN, DCA has been formulated to meet the highest defence standards for protection against harsh environments. DCA is resistant to most solvents, lubricants and chemicals associated with most aerospace and automotive applications, and provides excellent adhesion under all climatic conditions to a variety of substrates, including high altitude/decompression. The coating contains no isocyanates and can be soldered through without any health hazard to operators and shows excellent dielectric properties at all frequencies. DCA also fluoresces under UV light for ease of inspection and provides an extreme operating temperature range. The coating shows outstanding resistance to mould growth and UV light and contains no phenols, making it non-corrosive to Cadmium and Zinc plate. The cured coating can also be easily removed with Electrolube SCC3 Remover Gel (DRG).
Working alongside customers to develop optimum products, Electrolube offers high performance thermal management solutions where heat dissipation is required to enhance reliability and life expectancy of devices and reduce failure rates. HTCP, Heat Transfer Compound Plus, is a new non-silicone thermal paste developed for efficient thermal coupling of electrical and electronic components. HTCP displays superior heat transfer characteristics and avoids concerns regarding silicone migration onto electrical contacts which result in high contact resistance, arcing or mechanical wear. Similarly soldering problems caused by silicones will not be encountered. HTCP provides excellent thermal conductivity of 2.5W/m and has a broad operating temperature range between -50C to +130C. With superior non-creep characteristics, HTCP is coloured white making it easily identifiable for treating parts.
Electrolubes management and technical team will be available at booth 1J69 to help identify solutions for visitors with specific electronic and manufacturing requirements and to discuss the benefits of their extensive product range including contact lubricants, conformal coatings, thermally conductive materials, resins and service and maintenance products. For further information, please visit www.electrolube.com.
